"...as a thief"...taking away man's most cherished valuable.
How will the beast, the dragon, and the false prophet convince all of mankind to go to war against Jesus Christ? (Ref: Revelations 16:13-14)
After the spiritual war with the kings in the glorious land, all of mankind will have the mark of the beast on them, either on their hand or on their forehead. They will believe that self-will and freedom of rights are the founding values and the teachings from all gods, including the God of Abraham, because these values are the path to peace, prosperity, and unity.
In Rev.3:3 and Rev. 16:5, Christ states that He will come as a thief.
Theft is the taking of another person's property without that person's permission or consent with the intent to deprive the rightful owner of it. A thief uses stealth in order to commit the theft.
The act of theft by a thief is unexpected (via stealth), unwanted, and condemned as criminal.
But Christ is not a thief in the eyes of the True God….therefore He will only be seen as a thief in the eyes of man, and especially in the eyes of the hypocrite and self-righteous “Christians” as described in the warnings to the 7 assemblies.
A thief comes unexpectedly. This means that mankind will believe that all is good …eating and drinking and marrying and giving in marriage…and that he does not need any saving by any Savior. Man will believe that he has peace and that his way of life is right and good.
A thief comes to take away a valuable property.
What way of life is most cherished by man? …his belief in freedom of rights, his desire to serve one’s own interest.
When Jesus Christ returns, he will be proclaimed to be the Son of the One and Only God, Creator and Father. In other words, all other beliefs will be declared false and a fabrication by man for man. Jesus will return to be King of Kings, to rule the entire world, and to put in place God’s kingdom, truths, and ways. It will be a “theocratic” kingdom. In other words, democracy and freedom of self-rights will no longer be permitted.
The beast will accuse Jesus to be an imposter coming to impose a dictatorial regime whose purpose is to take away the values of freedom of rights and freedom of religion, which man has embraced as the way of his “god”.
This argument by the beast will rally all of mankind to defend its freedoms and self-will beliefs. Man will unite thus to reject Christ and to go to war against Him.
