Mr. Ratzinger...Confessing "Freedom" as the Way to God?

During his visit in Germany, Mr. Ratzinger is quoted as saying......
..."Freedom requires a primordial link to a higher instance" meaning that freedom is not an end in itself. In fact, "Freedom develops only in responsibility to a greater good."
...that human freedom and development appart from God are as impossible..."
...In the awareness of man’s responsibility before God and in the acknowledgment of the inviolable dignity of every single human person, it has established criteria of law: it is these criteria that we are called to defend at this moment in our history."

These statements by Mr. Ratzinger clearly show that he believes that freedom of rights, freedom of religion, freedom of lifestyle are part of the path to God....that God has blessed this way of life as the right and necessary development to the truth.

Which "god" is Mr. Ratzinger confessing?

It is clear in God's Word that Christ taught that He is the Only True Way of Life and Path to Our Father. It is clear that we are to love the One and Only God, and not embrace a belief that dictates that all gods are worthy of equal worship, as per one's personal choice. There is ONLY ONE TRUE GOD.

Christ did not teach freedom of rights and religion. He did not compromise to accept an inter faith relationship with the Jewish priests. Christ did not even teach "freedom" from the Romans....He said instead to give to Caesar what it Caesar's but to give to God what belongs to the True and Only God.

Christ witnessed and confessed the One Truth, was mocked because of it, was beaten for it, was crucified for it as a criminal, was killed for it....and was resurrected for it.

Mr. Ratzinger claims to be the representative of Christ on the earth...but he does not confess Him as being the Only True Way of Life and that He is the Son of the One and Only True God.

Instead, Mr. Ratzinger justifes "freedom" with eloquent "politically correct" words. Perhaps he did go to Germany for political and economic reasons.

It seems that the "god" that Mr. Ratzinger is confessing is the god that believes that "freedom" of self-will and self-rights is the true path to becoming like a god....as Adam and Eve embraced.
